Vampire Queen Betsy Taylor is fed up of trying to decipher the strange things prophesied in The Book of the Dead. At the end of her tether, she strikes a deal with Satan who promises to help – if she and her half-sister Laura pay a visit to Hell.
Hell, it would seem, is more terrifying than Betsy could have ever imagined – a waiting room with bad carpeting, re-runs of 70s TV shows and ancient Good Housekeeping magazines. But when Betsy and Laura find themselves catapulted back and forth through time, they realise they could seriously screw everything up for good…
CHUCK HOGAN – THE NIGHT ETERNAL
The nail-biting vampire thriller from the world-famous director of Pan’s Labyrinth and Hellboy.
The night belongs to them, and it will be a night eternal…
After the blasts, it was all over. Nuclear Winter has settled upon the earth. Except for one hour of sunlight a day, the whole world is plunged into darkness. It is a near-perfect environment for vampires. They have won. It is their time.
Almost every single man, woman and child has been enslaved in vast camps across the globe. Like animals, they are farmed, harvested for the sick pleasure of the Master Race.
Almost, but not all. Somewhere out there, hiding for their lives, is a desperate network of free humans, continuing the seemingly hopeless resistance. Everyday people, with no other options – among them Dr Ephraim Goodweather, his son Zack, the veteran exterminator Vasily, and former gangbanger Gus.
To be free, they need a miracle, they need divine intervention. But Salvation can be a twisted game – one in which they may be played like pawns in a battle of Good and Evil. And at what cost…?
WILLIAM RICHTER – TIGER
In this bold follow-up to Dark Eyes, Wally and Tiger fight trained assassins and face unspeakable danger as they work to unravel a conspiracy that stretches far wider than they’d ever imagined.
“An absolute page-turner. Murder, action, intrigue and the toughest female vigilante since Lisbeth Salander.”—Pittacus Lore, #1 New York Times bestselling author of I Am Number Four, on Dark Eyes
Five months after the Shelter Island tragedy, Wally Stoneman is trying to hold it together as a young, emancipated sixteen-year-old. She spends her nights alone in her hip but empty rooftop apartment in Brooklyn, and her days working for the Ursula Society, an organization that solves missing persons cases the police have long forgotten.
All the while, Wally has been tracking the one person she longs to locate more than anyone: her fugitive brother, Tiger, who’s been on the run since Wally last saw him on Shelter Island. But Wally isn’t the only one after Tiger—so is the notorious criminal Archer Divine, as well as the siblings’ sadistic father, Klesko, who is also at large. Will Wally’s involvement with the brother she’s waited her whole life to find be tainted by her father’s desire for revenge?
EMMA DONOGHUE – ASTRAY
The fascinating characters that roam across the pages of Emma Donoghue's stories have all gone astray: they are emigrants, runaways, drifters, lovers old and new. They are gold miners and counterfeiters, attorneys and slaves. They cross other borders too: those of race, law, sex, and sanity. They travel for love or money, incognito or under duress.
With rich historical detail, the celebrated author of Room takes us from puritan Massachusetts to revolutionary New Jersey, antebellum Louisiana to the Toronto highway, lighting up four centuries of wanderings that have profound echoes in the present. Astray offers us a surprising and moving history for restless times.
JEAN PASCAL BENASSY – MONEY, INTEREST, AND POLICY
An important recent advance in macroeconomics is the development of dynamic stochastic general equilibrium (DSGE) macromodels. The use of DSGE models to study monetary policy, however, has led to paradoxical and puzzling results on a number of central monetary issues including price determinacy and liquidity effects. In Money, Interest, and Policy, Jean-Pascal Bénassy argues that moving from the standard DSGE models – which he calls "Ricardian" because they have the famous "Ricardian equivalence" property–to another, "non-Ricardian" model would resolve many of these issues. A Ricardian model represents a household as a homogeneous family of infinitely lived individuals, and Bénassy demonstrates that a single modification–the assumption that new agents are born over time (which makes the model non-Ricardian)–can bridge the current gap between monetary intuitions and facts, on one hand, and rigorous modeling, on the other.
After comparing Ricardian and non-Ricardian models, Bénassy introduces a model that synthesizes the two approaches, incorporating both infinite lives and the birth of new agents. Using this model, he considers a number of issues in monetary policy, including liquidity effects, interest rate rules and price determinacy, global determinacy, the Taylor principle, and the fiscal theory of the price level. Finally, using a simple overlapping generations model, he analyzes optimal monetary and fiscal policies, with a special emphasis on optimal interest rate rules.

ELENA FERRANTE – THE STORY OF THE LOST CHILD
"Nothing quite like this has ever been published before," proclaimed The Guardian about the Neapolitan novels in 2014. Against the backdrop of a Naples that is as seductive as it is perilous and a world undergoing epochal change, Elena Ferrante tells the story of a lifelong friendship between two women with unmatched honesty and brilliance.
The Story of the Lost Child is the concluding volume in the dazzling saga of two women — the brilliant, bookish Elena, and the fiery, uncontainable Lila. Both are now adults, with husbands, lovers, aging parents, and children. Their friendship has been the gravitational center of their lives. Both women fought to escape the neighborhood in which they grew up — a prison of conformity, violence, and inviolable taboos. Elena married, moved to Florence, started a family, and published several well-received books. In this final novel she has returned to Naples, drawn back as if responding to the city's obscure magnetism. Lila, on the other hand, could never free herself from the city of her birth. She has become a successful entrepreneur, but her success draws her into closer proximity with the nepotism, chauvinism, and criminal violence that infect the neighborhood. Proximity to the world she has always rejected only brings her role as its unacknowledged leader into relief. For Lila is unstoppable, unmanageable, unforgettable.
The four volumes in this series constitute a long remarkable story that readers will return to again and again, and each return will bring with it new revelations.
